Privacy policy

Effective date: October 6, 2026.

Home Service Operator Guide is published by Soaftoak Essentials. The site does not create customer accounts or accept purchases. Choices made in the software finder remain in your browser session unless you separately submit the research-list form.

Research-list signups

If you join the research list, we collect your email address and any optional first name, trade, team size, or software question you provide. We use that information to provide the requested decision tool, understand what readers need, and send occasional field-service software research or comparison updates.

We do not sell research-list contact information. You may ask to unsubscribe or delete your signup by emailing adam@homeserviceoperatorguide.com.

Privacy-minded conversion counts

We may keep first-party daily totals for actions such as opening a scorecard, completing the fit quiz, joining the research list, or selecting a clearly marked affiliate link. These aggregate counters do not assign a visitor profile, advertising identifier, or browsing history to you.

Basic technical information

Our hosting and security providers may process standard technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, browser information, request time, and security events. Their handling of that information is governed by their own terms and privacy practices.

Links to other websites

Links can take you to vendors and other third parties. Those sites may collect information under their own privacy policies. We do not control their checkout, account, cookie, or tracking practices.

Future services

If we add advertising technology, a third-party email platform, or new analytics, this policy will be updated to identify what is collected, why it is used, and what choices are available.
